Infinity War & The Last Jedi Footage Coming to D23 Expo

Disney’s D23 Expo is just two weeks away and this morning they confirmed the details for the big “Live Action” panel on the second day of the convention.

As expected there’s going to be a lot of Marvel stuff there this year and they’ll have set pieces and props from Thor and Black Panther on display on the show floor. The Live Action panel traditionally shows the Disney stuff first, followed by a big Marvel blow out, and then one Lucasfilm movie. This year it looks like we’re just getting The Last Jedi there and not Han Solo:

“While the films to be featured in Hall D23 will remain under wraps until showtime, the Studio’s upcoming slate includes Pixar’s Coco; Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War; Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi; Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time and Mary Poppins Returns; Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2; and more.”

Disney, Marvel Studios & Lucasfilm – Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios
Saturday, July 15, 10:30 a.m. – Hall D23
The Walt Disney Studios is home to the biggest and most beloved brands in filmmaking today, with a number of highly anticipated projects from Disney, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm in the works. At this exclusive Hall D23 presentation featuring never-before-seen footage, surprise star appearances, and more, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at an exciting array of spectacular films on the horizon from these world-class studios. Cell phones, cameras, and all recording devices will be checked for this presentation.

At the 2015 D23 Expo they showed the first footage from Captain America: Civil War. As Infinity War will be nearly done filming the first movie by the time of the convention it sounds like we’ll be seeing something there. Also it looks like this may be where the BTS thing for The Last Jedi will show up.

Traditionally what they show at D23 Expo does not see an online release, unless of course they re-show something at San Diego Comic Con a week later and then release it online. That could happen this year due to the two conventions being a week apart.
