Two years ago Lucasfilm revealed the first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens on Black Friday in 2014. While that date is well after the thirty-day mark for traditional advanced sales for Disney and Marvel movies, there’s a hint that it could be a day to begin advanced ticket sales for Rogue One.
JediNews has learned that Disney plans to show some exclusive footage for Rogue One on ABC Thanksgiving night during the “Disney Magical Holiday Celebration”:

If showing footage and then announcing tickets going on sale sounds familiar, it’s exactly what Disney did last year for The Force Awakens. They premiered the final theatrical trailer during Monday Night Football on Disney-owned ESPN, and then advanced tickets went on sale.
Thanksgiving weekend is closer to the release of Rogue One than what happened last year, but it’s the sort of announcement that they used last year to begin sales for The Force Awakens.
