NBC’s new fall series Timeless attended its first New York City Comic Con this past weekend and debuted its second episode, “The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln,” for fans before airing Monday night. Following the screening in 1A06, fans got to meet the stars of the show, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Abigail Spencer and show creator Eric Kripke for a Q&A. I was fortunate enough to witness it firsthand.

Before taking questions from the moderator the cast saw Lincoln alive and well in the audience as a man who looked identical to the 16th president stood up for the rest of the crowd to see. The entire cast agreed that the show is so much fun to make because it feels like you are actually in those time periods from the sets to the clothes. Matt Lanter (Wyatt) and Abigail Spencer (Abby) both agreed that the more modern time periods have more comfortable clothes so they are more fun to film. When asked what episodes were their favorites to film most of the cast agreed the WWII episode was their favorite because of the outfits and the storyline where they meet Ian Fleming, the real life James Bond! Malcolm Barrett (Rufus) said his favorite was the Alamo episode because he got to dress up as a cowboy. Goran Visnjic (Garcia Flynn) was upset that he did not get to ride a horse in that episode or hold a sword. Apparently he is an expert at riding horses. Eric Kripke filled the audience in on where (or rather when) these characters will go this season from the French and Indian War, to NASA, the Alamo and next week’s episode Vegas where they will see the Rat pack. Unfortunately he killed his son’s dreams on stage when he said the cast will not be traveling as far back to see the dinosaurs. I guess we’ll just have to hope for a season 2!

Timeless airs Mondays at 10 on NBC.
