Heir to the Empire no longer has that strange He-Man cover thanks to Del Rey upgrading the original Thrawn trilogy artwork.
Released this week are new versions of Timothy Zahn’s classic Thrawn trilogy novels, each with a new cover and the three form a triptych when placed side-by-side:
This is a huge upgrade over the original covers. Heir to the Empire was the first novel released in the old SWEU, and the depiction of a super buff Jedi on the cover has always been the subject of jokes among fans:
The new covers are available in print and digital. There are no other changes to the books themselves, and the excellent 20th anniversary annotated version of Heir to the Empire remains unchanged and still has its original silver cover art.
