The long-rumored Wreck-It Ralph sequel is now official, with Disney setting the date for March 2018.
Walt Disney Animation Studios teased the announcement on their Facebook page yesterday, and they made it this morning via a glitchy live stream that stopped a couple times during it. They also released some concept art (above) for the movie, which confirms that they will be going into the internet with the sequel. That opens up some pretty hilarious possibilities and Meme cameos.
In the past it was said that Mario would probably appear in the sequel, since the original was so focused on video games. It’s not known if the internet setting will change that, or if we’ll still see video game characters in the movie at all.
