Today\’s Non-News: Abrams Admits Luke Intentionally Left Out of The Force Awakens Marketing

One of the biggest controversies over last week’s poster and trailer release for The Force Awakens was the lack of Luke in the marketing, and now JJ Abrams has admitted that was intentional. For those who are familiar with the spoilers, this is completely non-news. However there’s a segment of the internet who are losing their minds thinking that Luke Skywalker is Kylo Ren in the movie, which is completely and totally false.

The Associated Press caught up with JJ Abrams and asked him about the lack of Luke Skywalker in the marketing, including the new poster and trailer. Abrams said:

“These are good questions to be asking. I can’t wait for you to find out the answer. It’s no accident.”

He also goes on to address where the movie is now. They’ll be working on the effects for at least another month, even if the final cut of the movie is done before then. They also still have another recording session with John Williams for the score. That could explain why we didn’t hear any new John Williams music in the final trailer when it came out.
