We may not be that far away rom a new trailer for The Force Awakens, but the waiting for new footage has driven some fans mad…
You don’t need to look any further than the largest Star Wars forum online, the Jedi Council Forums, where a Trailer #3 thread in their spoiler forum is one of the most active ones over the last week. Fans are hatching wild conspiracy theories, and some are spreading doom and gloom what the lack of a new trailer could or could not mean for the movie.
While fans are waiting for the new trailer they cling to any rumor about a possible release date. The most evidence is pointing to a trailer release between the 15th and 19th of October. One film blog that likes to post Star Wars stuff just for the hits it brings claims that’s not true, but Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican Tweeted that he guesses it’ll be within the next few weeks:
Lot of people wondering when the next Star Wars trailer will drop. My guess: the next few weeks (with a slight heads-up before.)

Somewhat backing up that and the previous evidence is a new rumor from StarWarsJunk where a manager of a Carmike theater in Columbus GA allegedly emailed Disney and were told the trailer would be out in the middle of October:
The last big thing StarWarsJunk posted was the Tweets about the AMC Star Wars marathon, which AMC officially debunked on Twitter. So I’d take it with a grain of salt, but this one can actually be confirmed with a bit of detective work:
There are three Carmike theaters in Columbus GA and one is the Carmike Cinemas Ritz 13. Looking closely at that email it appears as if “Ritz” could be the word erased. Also it’s very easy to see that this manager’s name is “Mark”. So if anyone lives in Columbus GA and can call up the Carmike theaters there to see if a manager named “Mark” actually emailed Disney and then sent a screen capture of the email, then it would confirm it to be possibly true. Also, the phone number for the Disney contact (although blacked out) does match the number block for the Disney lot in Burbank.
The amount of evidence pointing to a trailer release in the middle of October is growing, so fans just have to hold tight a few more weeks…
