Rumor: Black Panther Officially Revealed at D23 Expo

T'Chaka Black PantherYesterday we saw the first spy shots of Black Panther on the set of Civil War, and the rumor is that we’ll get an official reveal of him at this weekend’s D23 Expo.

Marvel is part of the two-hour Walt Disney Studios Live Action panel presented by Alan Horn at 10:30am on Saturday and it’s pretty certain that they’ll unveil the first footage of Captain America: Civil War there. While many people are hoping to see Spider-Man, and that remains a strong possibility, rumors are swirling that the footage from Civil War will give fans their first official reveal of Black Panther in action.

As awesome as it would be to see Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther is actually more exciting. After all, we’ve seen Spider-Man in five live-action movies so far but this is the first time we’re getting Black Panther in a movie. It’s also Black Panther, a character who has deserved a big screen presence for years.

Yesterday’s tease from the set was awesome, but it’ll be great to see T’Challa as he’s intended to look in the movie. Set photos never give an accurate representation of what the final product will look like, so seeing an official reveal at D23 Expo will probably earn huge cheers from the crowd.
