Two new pieces of concept art from X-Men Apocalypse have been officially released, and they give us a look at the building of the Blackbird and an Egyptian location.

Empire has released the two images above, in addition to a couple you’ve seen before (Archangel, for example), and they have some new quotes from Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer about the movie:

“It’s a big monster of a movie,”
says the director. “The stakes are so high and global and the villain
is so mythic. It’s definitely an X-Men movie, but it really feels different.”

“They’re as much a part
of the movie as our main cast,”
says Kinberg. “Scott is not yet the squeaky-clean leader. Storm is
a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life. And Jean is complex, interesting and not fully mature. It’s fun to see someone struggling with their powers when you know one day they’ll become the most powerful person in the world.”

X-Men Apocalypse just begun filming (which is why they revealed Nightcrawler yesterday) and set pictures are beginning to leak out on sites not afraid to have Fox go after them for leaked images. The movie will be out next May.
