Over the last few weeks there have been a lot of rumors coming out about a potential teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We’ve heard about how John Williams could be scoring it this weekend, and that the trailer would be about one-minute long and out before the end of the year.
But when exactly could it hit?
On the latest episode of Now, This is Podcasting! some details about the teaser came out:
- It’ll be a one-minute teaser cut very similar to the Episode II “breathing” teaser.
- It features the new characters and the Falcon. There’s confirmation of the Big 3 in the teaser yet.
- Plan A is to release it with the Hunger Games, which is what Lucasfilm wants. They want the Hunger Games “strong female” audience due to Kira.
- Plan B is the release it on the December 16th mid-season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which happens to air at the exact same time as the early showings of The Hobbit.
As Hunger Games hits theaters this coming Friday, it’s possible we could see something as early as this week!
