Back to the Future Writer Bob Gale Says They Won\’t Make a Fourth Movie

Back to the FutureWith so many 80s movies chasing a new sequel these days, such as Bill & Ted and Ghostbusters, the Back to the Future trilogy is another one people have wondered if we’d ever continued. Despite an animated series acting as a continuation, and the recent adventure game as well, there are some people who still hold out hope for another movie.

That won’t be happening according to Bob Gale, who co-wrote the entire trilogy. He tells Yahoo UK:

“Let’s face it, we’ve seen a lot of sequels that are made years and years later and I don’t think I can name one that’s any good,” he says. “That lives up to the originals. I don’t think you can recapture it.”

“We’re not going to do Director’s Cuts or make a 3D version or change the special effects. People love them the way they are, we think they’re really good. Let’s not mess with it.”

Hopefully he manages to stop any sort of remake, such as that terrifying one people suggested that would star Justin Bieber.
