Last week, set photos from Batman V Superman leaked online showing Scoot McNairy on set with green special effects socks on his feet. This led some film blogs to proclaim that he would be playing The Flash because his feet would be removed by CG. Because obviously if someone has CG feet it immediately makes them into a character who runs fast.
While The Flash did appear in the fake script that duped many film blogs last month, it seems the reason for the CG feet is much more believable. According to Devil’s Eyes, Scoot McNairy will be playing Jimmy Olsen with a pair of prosthetic feet:
“Scoot is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs where pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs.” The source goes on to add “He doesn’t blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world.”
While that information comes from an extra on the movie, it’s also a lot more believable than him playing a character that appeared in the fake script that was being spread around last month.
