Sigourney Weaver and the Crew of the Nostromo Return in Alien: Isolation

Alien: Isolation Nostromo

The crew of the Nostromo return…

One of the best games we played at E3 2014 was Creative Assembly’s excellent Alien: Isolation. It captures the claustrophobic terror of the original Alien unlike any game before, and it fans should enjoy it a lot more than Gearbox’s Colonial Marines FPS. As the game is set after the events of the original movie where you play Ripley’s daughter, no one expected to see Sigourney Weaver’s character appear in the game but today Sega has announced that she will…if you pre-order.

Those who pre-order the game will be upgraded to the Nostromo edition, which will feature a mission titled “Crew Expendable” where you’ll see and hear Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash, likeness and sound-alike). This mission is based on the part of the movie where Brett is killed and the rest of the crew need to lure him into the airlock.

There will be a second download mission for those who pre-order at GameStop. “Last Survivor” recreates the finale of the movie as Ripley is trying to reach and escape in the Narcissus escape pod.

Sega has released some new screen shots from these missions, which you can find in the gallery below:
