10 Marvel Characters Who Deserve a Marvel Cinematic Universe Movie

Even though Fox and Sony are holding the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man characters hostage from Marvel, the comic studio still has a large stable of characters that can show up in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Here are ten characters that either should show up in a MCU movie, or go off on a solo adventure if they’re already established in the universe:

The Nova Corps are introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy, but the Nova everyone knows isn’t in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just yet. DC tried a Green Lantern movie, but once the Marvel Cosmic Universe is established on a big screen Marvel could probably pull off a Nova movie pretty successfully. While most fans want the Richard Rider Nova on the big screen, the popularity of the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series as well as the current Nova comic means we may get the younger version of the character…

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is one of the female comic characters fans really want to see on the big screen. They could easily establish Carol Danvers in the third Avengers movie during the Thanos fight, and then spin her off in her own Captain Marvel movie in Phase 4. Unfortunately it’s looking like Marvel may have Captain Marvel on the mind, but right now rumors are pointing to the more alien version of the character from the Ultimate universe.

Black Panther

Black Panther’s kingdom of Wakanda already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it’s not a huge leap to introduce T’Challa and give him his own movie. Panther is a big enough character that he deserves a big screen adventure, and shouldn’t be limited to something like a Netflix series.

Doctor Strange

It’s been rumored for a long time, and chances are very good we’ll get to the Stephen Strange in Marvel’s Phase 3. He received a name drop in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so Marvel is definitely laying the ground work to bring the Sorcerer Supreme to the big screen.

Black Widow

Everyone wants it, and Marvel says they’ve done “development” on it, so why don’t we have a solo Black Widow movie? Her new solo Marvel series is a huge hit, and even with her taking such a huge part in The Winter Soldier’s story people still want to see a solo Black Widow adventure on the big screen. Maybe when Marvel moves to doing 3-4 movies a year we’ll get to see this happen.
