Nike Mags Don\’t Power Lace, Sell for $5k a Pair


Nike should know that by filing a patent for power laces and then hyping up the release of Back to the Future 2 shoes; people are going to expect power laces. Well, the 2011 Nike Mags do not power lace, but they’re a nearly identical replica of the shoes that Michael J. Fox wore in Back to the Future 2; complete with the lights.

How do you get a pair? Well the only way to buy them is to bid on a pair on eBay. For 10 days Nike will sell 150 pairs via action, with the proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. But make sure you’re rolling in the cash, as each pair is going for $4-6k.
