New Zealand will remain Middle-Earth

|

After a very tense stand off with actor’s unions in New Zealand that put the future of Middle-Earth in danger of being moved to Australia or the UK; all has been resolved and The Hobbit will be filmed where it should be. The news broke this morning in New Zealand by Prime Minister John Kay. Speaking to 3news he said, “I’m please to announce an agreement has been reached between the New Zealand Government and Warner Brothers to enable the two Hobbit movies to be directed by Sir Peter Jackson, to be made New Zealand.”

New Zealand is Middle-Earth and it’d be impossible to picture The Hobbit made anywhere else. Hobbiton (the picture above) just wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t filmed on that little sheep farm near Matamata. With the fears of where they’ll film it out of the way; you can now start to get hyped.
