StarWars.com has revealed the poster for February’s re-release of The Phantom Menace in 3D. And honestly, it looks like crap. I’ve seen fan posters whipped up in Photoshop that look better than what Lucasfilm’s designers did for the 3D re-release. Did they actually pay someone to make that, or did they pawn the work off on some poor intern that’s going to have to show that as the work they did at Lucasfilm.
The horrible design doesn’t completely kill the poster, however. If you notice at the very bottom it says that there will be select 2D theaters. That means if you absolutely hate 3D and want to see The Phantom Menace on the big screen, there may be an option for you when it releases on February 10th.
