This week’s release of Sim City on the PC was a disaster. Since the game uses an always-on connection, the game’s servers were overloaded and people couldn’t connect to the game they just purchased. Despite EA removing features from the game, people still can’t connect or load into any cities.
Due to the problems with the game, Amazon has removed it from their download service. This is likely due to many refund requests, which Amazon honors. Unfortunately if you buy the game from EA and request a refund from Origin, you’ll just get your Origin account banned and lose access to all of your games.
