The Latest DCEU Movie Rumor Dump is Fake…Again

Yet another bogus rumor about the future of the DCEU is being spread around, this time with fake release dates.

Once again bogus 4Chan rumors are being spread by the DCEU Leaks subreddit, and many sites are reporting them as legitimate without even looking into them one bit. Just looking at the release dates of the rumor kills it right from the start.

Nightwing won’t be coming out on June 13, 2019. No major movie studio has ever released two movies on the same day. Aside from Nightwing not having a cast or a finished script yet, which would make a release thirteen months away difficult, Warner Brothers is releasing their horror spin-off The Nun on June 13, 2019.

Likewise, Batgirl won’t be releasing on October 5, 2019. Joss Whedon is busy finishing Justice League, and Barbara Gordon isn’t yet cast. Also, Sony is preparing to release their Venom flop on that same day. So that kills the Batgirl rumor.

Moving on to the 2019 dates, those are further out, but it’s a definite that Gotham City Sirens won’t be releasing on February 14, 2019. Aside from that being a Wednesday, Warner Brothers has a romantic comedy slated to release that weekend for Valentine’s Day.

I do think most people expect The Batman to release in 2019, but in addition to three other big DCEU movies? Four in one year? That’s doubtful right there.

Sites really need to stop using the DCEU Leaks subreddit as a source for clickbait. They’re just spreading fake news by doing so. Even the subreddit thinks it’s getting out of hand.
