Recap of The Flash “The New Rogues”

flashpoint
This week’s episode of The Flash “The New Rogues” showed us a mentor side of Barry where he gave words of wisdom to Jessie Quick in a very Oliver Queen-like fashion. But there were several other highlights from the episode. Read on, but beware of spoilers.

New Harrison Wells
Good-bye Harry and hello H.R! It was a bittersweet good-bye to Earth 2 Harrison Wells last night on The Flash. It came as a shock when he suggested that Team Flash find a new Wells. I hoped he would take it back and stay after he did not like the potential candidates, a cowboy, a mime, but not so. We now get to meet H.R. a Harrison Wells from Earth 19! He seems funnier and more hip with his outfit (and fedora). Let’s just hope he’s not evil.

Barry and Iris’ romance
Is it just me or does Barry and Iris’ romance seem, well weird? Yes, the show has been planning this for three seasons, but now that we have, I don’t know. Maybe it’s because they grew up together like siblings and seeing them kissing feels wrong. Am I wrong? That scene between Barry and Joe was hilarious though. When Barry was asking for permission to kiss Iris in front of him and the two couldn’t make eye contact with the other. Barry’s ‘I love you too’ to Joe was adorable.

Killer Frost cometh?
Caitlin displayed her ice powers once again as she saved Barry from the mirror. Once she got home to take a shower she turned the water to ice and even worse got a white streak in her hair. In a moment of fear she cut it out (which she probably could of dyed). These scenes showed us her powers are in fact getting stronger. Now that poses the question of what will happen next. Will she become Killer Frost like her doppelganger on Earth 2? When will the rest of the team find out? We’ll have to wait and see, but for now we all know who to blame…Barry! Perhaps he can go back in time again and fix it. Fingers crossed.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 on the CW.
