As surreal as it is, the fourth Jurassic Park movie has begin filming recently in Hawaii and it sounds like it’s the first of a new series. Obviously it’d be crazy to think that Universal wouldn’t want more Jurassic Park movies, as it’s been long enough since JP3 that there is a fan desire to see people being chased and eaten by dinosaurs.
Speaking to Empire, Colin Trevorrow said sequels are definitely on the table:
“We definitely talked about [sequels] a lot,†the director/co-writer revealed. “We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story.â€
In the same article Trevorrow confirmed that they will be using some animatronic dinosaurs in the movie, so the whole thing won’t be CG. Jurassic World comes out next June.
