While Tron Legacy won’t be out for another couple of weeks, tomorrow is the big Tron day when Daft Punk’s soundtrack is released along with the Tron Evolution videogame for just about any platform you could want it on. Tron Evolution is actually a prequel to Tron Legacy and is meant to fill in the gaps between the 1982 original movie and the sequel. With nearly thirty years of time between them, that’s a lot of ground to cover.
Each version of the Tron Evolution game covers a different time period. The main version, the one for the HD consoles and PC covers 1990-2000, while the handheld games and the Wii version are set in different years. Disney has released a timeline, below, to show where the games stack up. Since no game covers 2000-2010, maybe they’re leaving that open for a sequel?
