Clone Wars Adventures has launched

Just in time for Season 3 of Clone Wars, Sony Online Entertainment has officially launched their Free to Play MMO Clone Wars Adventures. If you tried out the game during its open beta, you would’ve found a fun and very accessible Star Wars MMO along the lines of SOE’s FreeRealms. It doesn’t have the depth of a World of Warcraft or The Old Republic, but it wasn’t meant to. The MMO is basically a collection of mini-games (the racing and tower defense ones are really good) set in a Clone Wars skin. It’s completely free to play, so there’s really no excuse not to try it out.

“We are incredibly proud of Clone Wars Adventures,” said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment. “LucasArts and Lucasfilm have been great partners throughout this entire project, so the game is seamlessly integrated with the TV series. Clone Wars Adventures exemplifies everything that is great about the show – the action, the characters, the rich universe, and more. Being able to chat with Anakin, engage in Lightsaberâ„¢ duels with Obi-Wan or race your Speeder Bike against friends at any time is like actually playing in the show.”

You can play Clone Wars Adventures for free via the website here.
